There was recently a thread on here where Mike Bandy was mentioned along with the fact that as well as being a top level player for many years he had also held down a full time job and raised a family.I think that is a very praiseworthy achievement.I have heard friends who had frequented the Chicago area talk about how strong he played for years.Just wondered if he still plays and what the background,occupation of some of his "Pour House'' teammates from a couple of years ago would be?Thanks,M.S.

Mike still plays with those guys in a BCA league. He gets out about twice a year for tournaments. His 4 teenage boys keep him and his wife too busy to even think about pool. During the summer he plays golf as much as possible. That's his passion these days. The team plays out of John Abruzzo's pool room. Palace Billiards. Claudio Perrone owns a room in Kenosha, Wi. Steve Hayes still works as an electrician. ( Same as Mike.) I'm not sure who the other guy will be this year. They've had many 5th players over the years. It doesn't seem to matter much who it is! They always do well.
