Now I'm sure everyone knows him for his amazing break cues but I rarely hear about him for his custom playing cue work. So I was hoping to get some feedback from others on his cues? What your opinions? Possibly pictures as well? Thanks in advance for any input.

I know several players over here in Austria which are playing with a Gulyassy.
Most of them never played a Custom Cue before, but they all are realy satisfied.
I played with many cues over the years, and last but not least i played with
a Gulyassy for two years, too. I realy loved the hit of the original shafts,
but i am a bad 314 player, so Mike made me two 314 shafts for it.
It still plays great, and it may sound silly, but the hit isn´t as stiff as with
other cues and 314 shafts.
My wife plays a Gulyassy, too and she never wants to hit with another
cue. I gave her many custom ones to try, but she will not part with the MG !
So in all i can only tell you positiv things about it, maybe you have to
make a refenish after a while. His finish is soft and thin, but that would be
the only inperfection i can tell you.

Hope that helps, and will try to take some pics of mine.

best regards,
Erich

Mike was a champion player with a successful Mosconi Cup record. He knows how a cue should play.

I'm told he was schooled in cuemaking by none other than Bill Schick.

I have long been impressed that Mr. Gulyassy chooses not to trade on names or events of his past, but rather, on the skillful innovation of his present.

His Sledgehammer was groundbreaking for transferring power to the ball. His cues hit superbly and now his shaft freeze treatment offers unparalleled smoothness and durability of a shaft sealant.

I like his products and see no downside to doing business with him.

Gulyassy cues

I have had the pleasure of owning several of Mike's cues.
I've had 2 of his jump/break cues & I still have 2.
The Arsenal Rosewood J/B/player kit with all of the bells & whistles!
The new Anvil J/B, 18oz. Curly Maple & all I can say is WoW!
I just SOLD a 2000 PH player to a guy in Italy.
I bought a brand new 18.3oz. 2009 Gulyassy with Dessert Ironwood & 24 Ivory spears in early 2009. The value is $2,500.00 & here are the pics of these beauties!
Mike has reached his pinnacle in cue building, he can build you anything you want.
Enjoy the pics. & by the way the player is for sale, $1,700.00 + shipping. Or you can buy the set for $2,100.00 + S&H.

Thank you,
Michael
