I have noticed that there seems to be a lot of Military members that post on this forum. I am going to be organizing some pool events/specials for Military members. Please email me if you're interested in them. I want to know where you're from, assigned to, age, how often you play pool and a way to contact you.
Thanks,
Zim

Hey Zim,
I'm currently stationed on Okinawa, japan. There are quite a few japanese tournements over here but they hate americans over here for the most part so we can't get in them. I had orginized a Sunday pool tourment over here but people quickly lost intrest for two main reasons. One, there is only one place here on island that has even decent tables but won't allow us to run any tournements because they say they loose money, so we are stuck running them on shitty bar tables. And second, noone wants to use offical rules for a tournement because they are used to "bar rules" and get frustrated by it. And ofcourse using bar rules doesnt work because every bar you go to around here has different rules so when you get a group of guys together from different areas on the island they are all wanting to play by thier rules. I shoot a little above average for a bar shooter, but shoot like I've never held a cue before on the larger tables, but if you were ever to have a real tournement up thier in Korea and I had enough advance notice to work it I would be glad to come up there and get my a** kicked around a little just to see some real players shoot for once. It's just a short hop for me. You can write me at knudsenjj@31meu.usmc.mil
