Missing Money!

A friend told me about another website that was very controversial regarding the BCA sale and the unethical acts of the ACS.

Here is a post that I just read by Mark Griffin regarding State money. It is very interesting and I urge you to contact your league operator and president and ask what has happened to your money!

(quote: Mark Griffin, owner BCA Pool Leagues System)

I have been very quiet on most of the issues raised in this forum. However, with all the discussions of state money, I feel that facts do need to be pointed out. After all, many operators, players, and state organizations have some decisions to make.

Last Saturday, John Lewis and I met with about 30 players and a league operator. One of the questions asked was how was the ACS getting funding. Mr. Lewis answered "from sanction fees and state associations." I then explained to the audience that the ACS would lose substantial ($100,000 range) money if they only acquired 30,000 members. Cecil Messer had agreed with this analysis a few weeks ago.

John openly admitted that money had been received from various states but adamantly refused to identify them. (He actually said you will be able to see it on the annual reports of the affected states.) He went on to say the money would be repaid.

Keep in mind, this is the money of a state BCA organization. What kind of guarantee was given to insure repayment. Is this proper use of the state's funds? This money belongs to the players and operators and SHOULD NOT be used by the ACS or BCA for anything!

At the same meeting, He admitted that Canada will be paying a sanction fee of $2.00 per person to be a member of the ACS.

These are not rumors, this is straight from Mr. Lewis and removes the money discussions from speculation to reality. I do not believe this involves any money from Minnesota.

The BCA Pool League has its own funding and will never use any state funds. If there are any questions, contact Mark Griffin at 812-987-1461.
