Modifiying a Predator Shaft

A friend of mine has just bought a used Predator shaft that he would like to have shortened and a new ferrule and tip installed. Are there any special concerns when working with Predator shafts

You might want to check with Mike Webb to get a second opinion. He does some warranty work on Predators.

One concern is the ferrule, if you want it to play like a Predator, then the ferrule is important. The other concern would be how much shorter you want it.
