In the preliminary round for PTC 12 this week (PTC 12 will be held in Germany in Januray) 147s were scored by Matthew Stevens - his first - and Ding Junhui, on the same day.
It was the first time two 147s were made on the same day in the same tournament.
John Higgins and Stephen Maguire had 147s in different tournaments on the 24th March 2000.
It was Ding's third 147, making him the fifth player to have reached that number.
