Here's a compilation of snooker flukes from the 2003 World Championships - Apologies to Scaramouche if it's already been posted - it never turned up in a quick search BBC Flukes Compilation from WSC 2003

Terry Griffiths' comment after Alan Macmanus' fluke surprises me. It's not really that rare, though definitely a crowd pleaser. But I suppose you are much more likely to see a fluke if someone takes on a stupid shot and plays it extremely badly, so I probably get to see a damn sight more than a pro does. There certainly isn't one on that video I haven't had myself on at least a couple of occasions.

I'm curious about the shot that "rides" the rail and pots in the middle. In every other cue sports game that I know it is a foul if the ball touches the wood (the cloth covered cushion is OK). Was that really a legal pot at snooker?

Was, is, and ever will be. It only matters where the balls come to rest.
