I saw a cue that Willie allegedly played with in exhibitions in the 50's. The story is Brunswick made them, Willie played with them in exhibitions and if you beat him, you got the cue.
I am not a cue guy so please don't laugh if i have been had. I have a chance to buy this thing but am not jumping on it yet.
Its got 4 points, 19 oz. Its tan and black basically. It has a dark leather wrap with "spiraling" of a lighter color. The last 4 inches of the butt is black wood but with several white rings around it of a leather or plastic mmaterial. The ferrule is white and it has a black ring on it too. The joint is brass. There is a decal of Willie on it and as im typing, im thinking maybe he wasnt young enough on this decal for this to be from the 50's. Under his picture, it says "Genuine Canadian Maple" "preferred by Professionals" and a few other hypes of the cue. The decal looks like it was put on last week but the cue looks like its from the 70's or at least i think i have seen similar cues made in the early 70's.
Anyone heard of these cues? Any advice would be appreciated.
