I live in West Palm Beach, FLA right now, but in the beginning of the year I plan on moving to Orlando to go to school. If any one could help me out I would appreciate it...thanks in advance.

There are many places to play in Orlando, depending on what you want.

Orlando Billiard Center (formerly Pro Billiards) is on Bennett Road, kitty corner to Roxy Night Club. Used to be the number one spot in Central Florida for players, tourneys, etc. Since it has re-opened under new management, it is trying to claw its way back to this distinction. Still a lot of good players and action there.

10 - 9ft. GC 4's
1 - 9ft. Diamong
1 - 9ft. Olhausen
6 - 8ft.
4 - 7ft. Diamond
1 - 10ft. Sogaard heated billiard table
1 - 12ft. Russian Pyramid table
ping pong, bumper pool, etc.

Jimmy's Billliards is on Orange Blossom Trail
Location presents a problem sometimes as its not in a great area, but there is action there.

10 - 9ft. old Gandy tables
4 - 8ft

Fast Break Billiards has been sold recently and the new owners are trying their best to cater to players and kids alike. They are re-doing their tables, etc. and its coming along.

12 - 9ft. Connely
6 - 8ft.

and of course tons of "sports bar" themed places

Clicks North and Clicks South
Trick Shots (5 locations)
Corner Pocket
SportsTown Billiards

I like the Orlando Billiard Center, but I don't care for the rails on the GC IVs. Also a short trek over to Spring Hill where the big boys play, Saez and Rocket.

Shorty

I would think the best place to play would be at the Orlando Convention Center in late January/early February if you can get a table. ;)

Sounds good...Ive been to Club Billiards in Kissimee...how far away is Spring Hill...put it this way Im going to be going to DeVry...near Universal Studios. Conroy Rd and Millenia Blvd. I plan to stay in student housing because I have no money...so any local tourneys where a kid learning to play might make some money or a place where I can play some cheap with the big boys that way I can afford gas would be great. Thanks again in advance...

The closest poolhalls to you will be BackStage Billiards on International Dr, and Trick Shots Metro West at the corner of Hiawassee, and Old Winter Garden rd. You won`t find much action at either place, but you can play free pool at either if you join one of thir APA teams.

Plenty of tournaments around town.
