MPI or XTC softest ferrule material?

which ferrule material between MPI and XTC is the softest?

I've used MPI and, obviously, it's soft. Never used XTC, so I can't give a comparison. However, XTC is the *only* ferrule material sold on Atlas and Cue Comp that warns using hydrocarbon-based solvents when machining may cause the material to break down. That makes it sound pretty dang soft to me.
