I have never had the priviledge of owning or seeing one of your cues up close as of yet, but I have a cue being sent to me this week that is said to be built by you. it has the red dot in the buttcap. is there anything particular I should look for to make sure it IS one of yours? any help from you or anyone else would be appreciated. thank you very much, JEFF :)

The early "Bluds" contained the "Blud Dot". When Donald took over the "Blud Dot", Leonard started to sign his cues and quit using the "Blud Dot". This is what Leonard told me directly! Based on that info, it would depend on how old the cue is that you're getting. It appears to be newer to me, but only Blud could really answer that!

Yep...my bet would be you are getting a Donald Bludworth cue.
are donald's cues any good? I never played with a cue by either bludworth. what would an estimated value be by either of them? are donald's cues even collectible or have any real value? HELP!!!!!! thanks guys!

Donald is a very accomplished cuemaker who is now with Nat Greene of South East cues. The one thing that he changed after he took his own franchise is under the wrap, he stopped using the phenolic ring at the top of the wrap section. You can only tell if you remove the wrap. But also in the beginning he did continue to use it. It was only after 6 months to a year that he stopped. I have hit with both and they both played very well. Execution was very easy, well balanced.

My experience is the same as Michael's, I have owned cues from both Leonard and Donald and they both played very well. Personally, I would think Leonard's cues would have a slightly higher resale value, but I do not know that for a fact. The design you are getting is one of my favorite Bludworth designs.

You might be right, but then again something that can never be made again tends to be worth more also. Leonard has the exclusive use of the Bludworth name now, so there will never be any more Bludworths by Donald if my understanding is correct.

I Know

Donald bought the red dot logo in 86 when he bought the business. Then, I am not sure when, they got back together. Today, Donald owns the red dot. To further confuse you, I have a Blud with a red dot signed : To Susan, by Da Blud 03. I also have a high end Blud, $6,600 one of a kind, designed by Donald and made by both of them. Blud has always made a decent cue. Donald is a chip off the old block. I like them both.

that's where the pic came from. this guy wants to trade me one "like it" for my Dzuricky "balabushka". anyone have a more tempting offer? will consider most makers. I had another offer for a six point "shannon" cue and $150 also, but don't know anything about shannon cues. If anyone else is interested in my dzuricky PM me and let me know what you have, or call me at (814) 450-3138 thanks,JEFF

Hi Jeff, that cue was designed by my son Donald. He's a good cuemaker. I think he may of built it, but I might just as well built it. We both used the red dot, for years, and I still do.He works for South East Cues, [Nat Green].
If I can help more, call me sir.
