My 2 Playing Cues

Hello everyone,

New to this forum but have lurked for years. Just wanted to say hi and post 2 pics of my playing cues, both from North Carolina cuemakers.

1- 6 Pointer from Wayne Holmes. Birthday present to myself a few years ago after I had two cues stolen. I traveled to his shop, he let me hand pick the various wood pieces from his stock and he took pictures along the way which he forwarded to me. Maple burl Inlays in the points and bigger matching burl inlays on the butt of cue.

2- Purpleheart Sneaky J/B from Kevin Varney. Originally had a 14mm shaft with a ceramic tip. Ditched that and replaced with a 30-1/2" 13mm with a "normal" tip. About 60" long now and plays great.

Nice cues.

A while back I raised the question about a stainless steel joint and white collar and the only cue that was brought up was a Balabushka. Normally you see black collar with SS. Not saying that is all there is but it's nice to see another one and it really looks nice.

Thanks Dave,

Wayne gave me a choice several years ago and I picked White. Just wanted to be different I guess. Here is a pic of someone elses "Wayne" with white joint collars.

Would you happen to know what material the white collars are?

Hay i was at a tournment and saw a Mike g Sneaky P with a coller like that .He was asking 700 .To rich for my blood .but it was real nice ..
