My daughter doesnt play much pool. About a month ago I explained the game of 9-ball, because i thought she would like a game where you can make one ball and still win :D

About 2 weeks ago I explained the game of 14.1

Last week I almost fell out of my chair when she asked to play a game of 14.1 ! I said OK, how far do you want to go? She said "to 25", that sounded good to me. Then she said, but you're better, so we need to adjust (boy she is smart, already asking for weight!), I said OK, I will start at -10, you start at zero.......

I was goofing around of course, but she was making almost a ball on every inning. One inning she made three balls. When it was 22-all, I put her out of her misery, because you know, I still wanna win and all

When she turns 21, I really hope she agrees to join a league together, that would be heaven for me.

Thats great to hear, if you are coming down to Valley Forge this year make sure you bring her down to the 14.1 Challenge and Steve and myself will make sure she has a front row seat for the best players in the world and all the 14.1 action she can handle.

Oh and you can come too I guess lol.

Hope to see you there.

Thumbs Up

Good story. I enjoyed reading your post. Young people need good hobbies to be interested in. It is very healthy. Make sure that you explain to her that 14.1 will help her play other games in pool better.
Good Luck to her. Keep us posted.

I always had a home table when my kids were young,,,,they never were serious about learning technique or anything, but it's where all the neighborhood kids gathered, so I knew where they were and what they were doing. Now my baby girl has graduated from college and lives in a major city, and guess what, all of a sudden she has joined a pool league, and plays all the time,,,,,,,now when she comes home to visit she's always up for a friendly game of onepocket,,,,,,,currently we play at 10-4, but she's getting better all the time.
