Great event!! I am so glad that Mark Griffin and CSI has had me run this event for the last several years. The location is so much better than the last for me, a much easier and safer load in. Beautiful room.
I realize some one will always complain, but I want to point out a few things. I really am tired of players comparing pool to other sports and that they should get paid and treated like those sports. The big comparison this week was golf. Really? 90% of the players would have been disqualified. Score card wasn't filled out correctly. One top pro scored himself as the loser twice, another wouldn't come and get his scoresheet, some wouldn't put a score in.
How about the players I had to warn for attempting to change the rules? WTF? 9-ball is a conquered game, magic rack or not. It's been boring to watch for a long time. Once in a while a great game happens. For all of you that complain about 9-ball just being a break and run game and its the same pattern all the time and the top players do it all the time, ha go to CTS on demand and look at the brackets, weren't that many hill-hill matches.
For those complaining about the women not getting streamed in their finals, hey their finals fall when we are at the last 6 in the men's. you gotta go with the best matches, with what the paying people want. TAR is the best out there and the best isn't free. Nothing against the women, but the paying audience wants to see the final six men. Then when the women are put on the table, they shut down and play slower. It is what it is, no ones fault. As far as women racing to the same because they have a smaller division, the schedule fits now and it won't if we bump their races.
Enough rant, this event rocks, I love doing this event. BadBoys Billiard Productions is very proud to be a part of it. Next year- bigger and better
