My Grandpa's Cue

I received this cue from my grandpa after he passed and I need a little help identifying it. I have figured that the other letter (slightly rubbed off is "H"). I don't think its worth much I would just like to know who made it and when. Thanks to anyone who can help.

I am not sure. I have never see that marking before, but it makes me think of Richard Helmstetter ( from Adam cues, also balabuska reproductions). I could be dead wrong, but you could check it out. If you had more pics, I may be able to help you figure it out.

the cue is>>

its a Huebler...pretty sure of if.

his early cues were marked that way- was the R series made in the mid seventies I believe.

show us a picture of the joint and shaft insert and we will know for sure.

thanks for sharing

i saw you posted you dont think its worth much....wow...i envy you ...i wish i had a pool cue that my granddad played with...my grandfather has beem ill for a while and I have his old single barrell 12 gage shot gun that will kick the salt of out a bisket..but i love that old thing. Im sure you Treasure that cue stick..

As you asked for!

Here are the other pictures you asked for. I have a new question though. The cue came with 2 matching shafts and one has a washer/spacer (as you can see in the pic) what is that shaft used for? I contacted the Huebler company but I have not heard back from them. This cue looks very similar to their "exotic wood" cue they still offer. Any more insite is helpful. Thanks for all your help. Andy.

Nice Cue!

That cue is either a Rich cue, or a Huebler. Judging by the inserts, it is most likely a Huebler. The difference is that one of the shafts has a "piloted" insert. That part of the nylon insert sticks down into the collar to provide more contact in the joint area.

DO NOT CHANGE ANYTHING ON THAT CUE!!!

It will only retain its' value if the wrap, finish, collars are original.

Enjoy a timeless piece!

So my next question?

I would really like to start using this cue to see how it handles but both of the tip are missing:mad: I still have the original ferrules so I need to know where I should get it repaired? I live in Minneapolis MN so if anyone knows around this area might be helpful. I could take it to my hall but I would like to keep the aesthetic, playable and rarity values of this cue. The Huebler Company has not returned my emails yet but if it is a Huebler, should I just send them?

Paul has officially retired from cuemaking. His email system was never very good. But now he doesnt answer them as I believe his server is down.

you have a nice cue there...enjoy it!
