My new cf shaft

David Tickle made me a new carbon fiber shaft. It was spec'd to mimic my OB Raven. 30" with 17" pro taper. 12.2 mm tip. Flat faced 5/16×18. And he nailed it.

The only difference is the OB is 3.2oz, while the Tickle is 3.6.

The Raven did not perform until the tip was changed to a Kamui clear black hard. Considering the extra weight, I ordered a Kamui clear brown med.

Only had a couple hours with it, but it will play in a tournament Saturday. Let you know how it did.

i just bought a second one from him a 12.8 cant wait

for 250 total, shipped you cant find a better deal on a new carbon fiber shaft . most sizes and connections too

The cf shafts performed well enough that I ordered a 5/16×14. It played fine, but I preferred the smaller pin.

I compared the shafts over several butts to reach that conclusion, so when an old Adam/Helmstetter with a larger joint diameter showed up I ordered another.

My new Tickle is 11.8mm, 31" and wearing a Kamui soft brown. This is my player.

If I sell one of my 5/16×14 cues, I'll pull the trigger on an 11.5.

I borrowed a friends J Flowers cue today for an hr or so . This was my 1st time with a cf shaft. I really played poorly with it but in all fairness I was not really bearing down , too much yacking . I do not blame the cue ............but as soon as I picked up my regular cue ,a B Owen with a maple shaft I broke and ran 2 racks . I still might buy or trade for a cf but time will tell .
