This jump cue was a gift from my friend Bill. His cue company is Camargo Red Cues. He makes great playing cues. I told him I wanted him to build me a jump cue in a Lomax style, and he surprised me with this for Christmas. He said he won't make any more in this style out of respect for Steve Lomax, as they are friends.
It is birdseye with triple silver rings and amboyna in between. I have a birdseye cue on order from Lee Peppers with an exposed weight bolt and hoppe ring. Bill made this to look similar to that without my having any knowledge of it. I think it looks amazing, and it jumps as good or better than anything I've ever used.
