My new Rocket Cue

I just recieved my new true custom cue.
John built it to my specifications "zeror taper in the butt" out of one piece solid bacote.
NO POINTS OR INLAYS a playing cue.
2 shafts one laminated one solid with the same tip to compare hits.

He did truely beautiful work I highly recommend anyone to get a cue from him.


P.S. Sorry about the quality of the pictures but I'm rushing to get to the poolhall. (will describe the hit later in detail)

I had a booth next to John at the SBE this year, and got a chance to play with one of Mr. Rocker's cues. John's a super guy and makes a great cue, yours look fantastic.

I have no idea what "zeror taper in the butt" means, can u explain? Also what is the white stuff for joint and on the shaft?

Laminated means flat laminated or radial?

That's very figurative bocote .. nice!!!

Rak9up...kudos to you for stoppin' long enough to take pics BEFORE you went to the hall....I wouldn't have! :eek::grin:

I think he just misspelled 'Zero'. The cue doesn't appear to be tapered at all, just the same size from joint to buttcap.

Nice cue John. I like the ring work....
 
The first 10 inches or so have a taper then it is a straight line to the end.
The shaft is a Dominiac radial laminated blank.
The white material in the joint area and butt cap is Ivorine 4.

I saw one of john's cues with the copper rings and it looked very nice! Thanks again john for holding on to my case!

Where is my cue?
 
I got a chance to hit with this cue, and you know what it didn't know how to make a ball, maybe it was me lol. All joke aside this cue looks great in person a d has the hit I love, solid. Great job!!!
