Owning a skip, one of my long term goals. Congrats, I think I know which one it was, I'm always checking out classiccues.com.

I knew which one right off. They only have three on site at the current moment, and one is used :-) I actually almost got that one myself, but really, really wanted the one I got. I also have a better of pic of that particular cue, in a grouping with some other Skip cues, let me know if you would like it, and I'll email it to ya.

Ronald,

Cue is on the way... via UPS

Joe (---waiting for someone to snap up the ringtailed lizard cue

Hi Joe and everybody

Just received the cue (that was fast) go UPS!!

Joe and Mark were both great, thye included shipping in the deal and it was through UPS. very classy of them.

The cue is nto as sharp as i hope it would be (could be the huge black veneers) but the balance of this is great, i havent shot with it yet , but i will soon and will take some pics of it tonight.

as a comparison, my gilbert weights in at 19.5 same as this skip weston..but the feel just to hold t in the hands is much better for me. could be that the gilbert cues are butt heavier..whereas the weston cue has a more central weight or forward.

Fish,
The cue has a very natural tone to it. Which is what Skip used to do all the time. He is a big fan of natural grain flow. He loves cocbolo, kingwood, olivewood, etc.. because of the contrast and natural patterns. I on the other hand, like the classics, which is why if I design it, its usually a 4 point ebony or rosewood cue, with ivory and MOP inlays.
His balance is excellent and many times I get a 20 oz cue and it plays like a lighter cue. The only misconception you may get is from the Predator shafts. I prefer Skips shafts over them. But deflection isn't one of my problems.

See out site for info. We can do some good summer discounting on some of these Skip cues or other cues we currently have listed.
