My Predator Shaft

ok, i got my Predator Shaft tonight for my Lucasi Cue. so far, cant really tell much of a difference, except it does seem to hit pretty solid. perhaps that can be attributed to the LePro tip on this 314 Shaft. i think its a little harder than the Tsunami tips i routinely play with.

as far as the deflection goes, if there is a difference i dont see it. at least not so far. and i ordered the 12.75 mm shaft, it seems just a hair bigger, but probably not 13 mm.

i guess so far i am not real enthused or impressed about the Predator Shafts, but then again it does make a production cue like a Lucasi look a little more classy. i mean, its somewhat more impressive to walk into a pool room with a Lucasi/Predator combo than it is just the regular Lucasi shaft.

so i guess i will use it a few more days and see how it goes. might send it back and get that 90% refund Predator has going, i dunno, then again i might retip it with a Tsunami and just adopt this Lucasi/Predator combo as my #1 playing cue.

DCP

You're breaking the hearts of all the Predatorites that are lifetime committed members of the cult. I can hear them crying now....boo hoo, boo hoo hoo...
For me, your stock just rose a little higher.

If you want classy, apply the money to a better cue. THAT will be classy in the long run.

Change the tip and you won't qualify for the refund. There's a lot of great custom cues that the money could go toward. Think about it...........

After trying out many production cues and some customs, I came to the same conclusion as you did. Maybe in the hands of a top Pro they are able to tell subtle differances, but I cannot. I do like the Lucasi cues and also Joss but I cant tell a differance in play-ability between the two. Just my .02

DCP,

Hope you are doing well. I would only suggest that you try the shaft a little longer. Spend some time getting used to it. Predator would probably tell you to spent at least a couple of weeks (I think they are right) I would not replace the tip as this will void their 30 day guarantee if you do decide to return it.

Hope it works for you and improves your game.

Give it a fair shake, hit some difficult cut shots with it, shots that would normally make you apprehensive. Don't start whining about it the first time you try it!
