My pride and joy

This is my grandfather's mid-1960's Frank Paradise. He bought it at a poolhall in Linden, NJ for around $70 according to my dad.

Don't know what kind of woods are in it, don't know the pin size, I just know I love the look of it. Scot Sherbine at Proficient Billiards did a fantastic job of refinishing the cue and making a new shaft as the old one had warped for years in a hot/cold attic.

The points are all very close in size, but not exactly the same length. It was this cue that turned me onto leather wraps as well.

I honestly don't know. If PJs has been there since the 60s, it very well may be the place he bought it.

PJ's was not in business in the late 60's. He probably bought the cue at High Cue in Elizabeth NJ. It was the place at that time. In fact I don't remember ever hearing of a room being in Linden in the 60s.

I honestly can't say. My grandfather died in 1979 and my dad was the one who said Linden. They did live in Elizabeth, so High Cue may have been where he got the cue.

I'm just happy to have inherited such a great looking traditional cue.

ahh hi cue. jack colavita used to play there. yeah pjs dosent looks that old.
