My 9' Rebco table was set up in my 28x36 foot garage on Monday. It has new rails, Simonis 860 HR Tournament Blue cloth, Aramith Super Po balls and new leather pockets. The table/pockets are a bit easier to make balls in then the Diamond tables I have played on and seem about the same as a friends Gold Crown IV. I am 64 and recently retired so the table will help pass these long and dark Alaska winters. My ego tells me I am probably a middle of the road or lower B player, but have no way to know for sure. I have never shot drills, but plan to now and hope to see an improvement in my game. The pool scene in my little town has died off and the pool hall closed a couple years ago. I have a very few friends that shoot so I have extended invitations. My 3 grand kids are real close and I got them their own cues so they have been all over the new table. My first choice in tables was a Diamond, but it was more then I was willing to spend to ship one to Alaska and no one sells them up here. I was tempted to buy a new Olhausen, but passed. I built a 8' light that holds 4 fluorescent bulbs and I am very pleased with it and the table. I will figure out how to post a pic after I get my garage mess cleaned up. Any way I am headed to the garage and feel like a blessed man. Life is good!

Congrats man! I can't wait to get my 8ft Olhausen set up in our basement. Getting basement finished once we move into our new place next week. Like you, I too am a middle of the road B player. Never done drills but have been playing for years. I am hopeful that having the table in my basement will help me do more drills, get back to basic fundamentals and improve my overall game.

I bit the bullet and got a home table a couple months ago. Best decision I made since the local pool room, although closed now, had really went to the dogs. The last time I was in there it was a who's who of those arrested for drugs and breaking and entering over the last couple years. Even though I knew all of them I still didn't care to be around them.
Having a table at home lets me work on drills and other things you couldn't or wouldn't possibly practice at the pool room. Plus, I can go play anytime I want and work on anything I want. Definitely has it's advantages.

Congrats! I can't wait until I have room for my own table. I only play about once a week these days, weekend afternoons, but would play every day if I could do so from the comfort of my home. Just waiting until I can afford a larger place and get myself a table.
