I found this Caricatued Drawing done by Jorge Rubio [sp?]at Semih Sayginer website foto gallery http://www.semihsayginer.com/homepage.html

Can anyone name the Caricatured Characters?

These are the players I (maybe) recognize:

1 - Raymond Ceulemans
2 - Torbjoern Blomdahl
3 - Roberto Rojas (?)
4 - Daniel Sanchez
5 - Frederic Caudron
6 - Tony Carlsen (?)
7 - Eddy Leppens
8 - Nobuaki Kobayashi
9 - Dick Jaspers
10 - Semih Sayginer
11 - Junichi Komori
12 - Ramon Rodriguez

I'm not sure but is that Sang Lee floating on the red ball? :D

Top left - Jimmy Carter
Second row down, all the way to the right - Nixon

Blomdahl seems to be in kind of a compromising position there

Maestro Rubio was kind enough to present me with a caricature at this year's SLIO. (see attachment)

Robert

Edit: my scanner didn't quite capture the color properly. The paper looks very white in person, but the scanner exaggerated the tiny smudges and it makes the background look very dark.

Raiford, Jorge Rubio, did capture you right. As you have been on a high in your placement during past tournaments. I hope you keep it up.

Thanks for sharing the pic. I have added a small numbers to each characters. Hopefully it's easier for people to id the player names

Here is a quick color correction for you...

(If you can show a few more 3c shots for us, I will photoshop you to stand right next to Mr. Ceulemans :) )

I would quess :

17. Marco Zanetti

Could this drawing been done at one of Sang Lee International Tournament??

Also wouldn't their vest be a give away?

Thant could be Zanetti. The drawing looks much older than the SLIO tournaments. For example, it includes Kobayashi, both Caudron and Jaspers still have glasses, and Dani Sanchez still has hair :)

Good summary of the caricature. Thanks for sharing guys! I hope to make it to SLIO next year. I'll be the guy wandering around with the caricatures printed out trying to match up the players. :D
