Hey guys,
been playing since 90's, but mainly 9b. last year i was introduced to 1pocket and now pretty much exclusively play it. there's so much to learn and so much to love about the game. it also got me thinking about my pool experiences and I recall first learning about the game from this guy in LA in the mid-late 90's.
Nate, black guy around 5'10'', fit, used to wear a fanny pack and drove a tan nissan altima. he was also very nice and pleasant. he used to practice by himself at BC (billiard connection) in the san fernando valley. he may have some connections w/ detroit.
he taught me, or tried to teach me (i was young and reckless, so didn't have the patience to learn what the game was about) about one pocket and played a few games w/ him. from what i remember about him, he was a pretty strong player. i used to enjoy watching him practice.
does anyone know who this person is and how is game is/was?
