Need a little help! (with cue concern)

I have a possible problem, one of my favorite cues , seems to be warped. When I place it on a flat surface, the nose end of the butt does not lay flat, at some points the nose touches, then at other points its a 8th" off the surface. when sighted down the butt, it appears to be straight. Is it possible the wrap or the rings may not be cocentric to the butt? please help a newbie out. this is really bothering me when I know it may be warped

I see a few veiwers, but no one to respond? Is it no one has ever seen this before? I need some help, and I've seen some great advice given on this forum. If not can someone point me in the right direction to a possible answer? thanks for any help.
 
Take or send the entire cue to a good cuemaker and let them check it on a lathe for run-out and then you will know if it's straight or not...good luck.

I agree. I believe any reputable cuemaker or repair person could help you out. Also, maybe post in the "Ask the Cuemaker section."

I had a similar situation once and it turned out the handle (center portion of the butt) was warped. I'm not telling you that's what it is but it could be. It's an expensive repair so it comes down to the value of the cue and if it's worth fixing. I can also tell you that a warp like that in that part of the cue doesn't effect playability at all, unlike shaft warpage.
