Hey Mark, any chance that your new rails will look like the GCV rails so I can make my GCII look like a GCV?
No....the casting are different on the 5s.....we're going to build rails that match up to the casting you already have.
The casting will determine the style rails that are needed......this is just going to be a better way of replacing the entire rails...instead of just repairing the sub rails and replacing wood in the corners of the rails.
More or less....if the Formica on the rails are bad....you don't want to buy a new table...or spend money having me recalibrating rails that are beat up looking.
This way you can have a completely new rail.....with my specs....which now....not only the rails will play great...they will look as good.
Jerimy can make the rails for me and I'll do the sub rails and the calibrations and pocket spec's.
I've done so many rails that play the way I want them....but when I'm done sometimes looking at the Formica I get up set....thinking....man I put a lot of time in this set of rails...and no matter how good the rails play....they don't look very good after I install the cloth.
Speaking with Jerimy for months.....he can build the rails....then I'll get them and install the sub rails and cushions.....now you get a great playing and looking rail.
Jerimy can do sub rails as well....no problem....but I like the way I redo the sub rails......after all...that's all I've been doing is working with sub rails for the last 8 or so years.
I think offering the complete rail....is going to be better for the customers.
Refinish the blinds and pedestals......powder coat the castings....new pockets and now the rails look as good as the complete table.
I'm sure people are going to like going this direction...than looking at the old Formica that's been beat up for years.
Centennial rails....anniversary rails....will look great now.
Mark Gregory
