Need a solution

I took the rails from on gc2 and put them on another table that was more of an action table because of its location rather than switching the tables.
Now I do not know if the original table had the same problem but now this tables slate extends to the rear of the pocket instead of half way into the pocket like most of the other gc2 and my gc4's. It seems the slate is slightly different on all of them. But the problem is the pocket will not accept any ball hit with more than medium speed. It just spits it out. I wish I had noticed if the original table was that way too. It is tore down going to someones house now , so I cannot tell. I cannot imagine though that those rails would be so different has to line up to where the slate is farther back into the pocket. I tested all the tables and if the slate is about half way into the pocket it will accept the balls. Can you mechanics advise. I would ask mine but he is gone for now and he may not have the answer anyway.
Thanks

Just got back from checking table again and I think the problem is not the slate but the angle the cushions open at the pocket. I used a cue to extend angle to opposite rail and it lines up at the 1st diamond. way too short. Other table line up to 2nd diamond and beyond slightly. I think thats it. Now the tables have a shim on the rail. If I double shim from there it might help some I am not sure or should I just get rid of those rails as I sure cannot extend them or change the angle.
