Need Advise on shaft

My daughter recently got a cue,a no name cue, but nice. The shaft needs to be replaced though. It has a 5/16-18 high polished screw in metal joint. Which shaft could I get put on it that would hit good ? I would also like to have the shaft collar installed on the new shaft if thats possible? Any ideas Predator,OB1, Smart shaft,or just a a nice hard maple? Thanks,

You've made some pretty strong assumptions there. I don't read anywhere in chas' post that his daughter is a 'rank beginner' nor that she's 'just taking up pool'. For all you know, it could be Jeanette Lee. She has parents you know. Excuse the exaggeration but I'm trying to make the point that you don't know chas or his daughter from Adam & Sarah.

Predator would be an excellent choice. The sooner a person starts playing with a performance shaft, the sooner they start improving their game.
