Need help identifying house cue

Can someone tell me what kind of cue this is. It has red, yellow, and black veneers. In the handle area there are vertical grooves that wrap around the cue that are about 1/16th deep.

Is the shaft part maple? I had one that looked similar, in the shop that had a nice butterfly, but the shaft wasn't maple, it was ramin wood.
