need help on a meucci cue

I agree it looks like the HOF01. Modern version of the MO7. I'm not tuned in to Meucci well enough to know if red dot was standard shaft equipment with that cue or an option. I can say, however, that I bought a similar cue many years ago that had a warped shaft. I had a cuemaker build me a matching shaft that I included when I sold the cue. It isn't uncommon to find aftermarket shafts with older Meucci cues, and that ringwork is just offset stitches to form the chain link design. Mike Webb matched my cue those years ago quite perfectly. You might compare the insert to another Meucci shaft or take a really close look at the collars...it might be aftermarket. Great design nonetheless. I love that old Meucci window look.
Value is hard to identify without seeing the cue for straightness, fit finish etc... I'd say typically around $200 but some will call that estimate low.

I had a pre-dot Meucci cue of the same design. Mine was purchased around 1987-8. I did not find a catalog from that year. The next previous catalog I found was from 1984, when this model would have been designated as 84-5. My recollection was that my cue was an "something/something"-5. I don't know when Meucci renamed this series to HOF-1, but it is the same model cue, with or without the dot shaft. There were different color forearms and veneers in the same series. If you don't know when the cue was produced, you can call it whichever you want. Just be open with prospective buyers about what you know.

I sold mine about 6 years ago for $150, which was the going rate at the time. Mine was in much better condition than yours. It was straight and the finish looked near new. It was a fine cue and fun to play with. If you are looking to keep the cue, I do not think you would overspend for a refinish job relative to ultimate value of the cue. But this cue is not a hidden "Declaration of Independence" and it won't fetch millions for a $150 refinishing investment.
