Need help

Well a friend let me borrow one of his viking cues for a tournament today, and right when we left I started to unscrew the quick release on it. Right about on the last thread the shaft stuck and wouldnt want to come off. Him and I both get the shaft and the butt and try to unscrew it in opposite ways. The shaft just doesnt want to come off. I even tryed putting vege. oil down into the joint and its still stuck. What do i do.

Find a fireplace and go buy a Meucci?????
 
Grab the cue half way on the shaft and tap the butt several times on the floor. That should do it.

Those unilock joints are famous for this, which is why I have never used one.
