I once knew a man while I was in Memphis, Tn. in 77 working at the Pool Hall who only had one arm and played one pocket all the time. Well, he had the stainless steel thinga-majij that allowed him to play pool and not have a stick bridge get in his way. His name was Doyle and he is most like passed on by now last time I saw him was in 77 and he was about 39 years older than me. Now I find myself in the same condition. Having only one arm to play with I hoping someone may know who makes those metal pool stick holders.

I remember hearing something about a device that was basically a crutch X head with a strap or loop over the top arms, so that you could lower it into position with the cue, use it to play your shot, and lift it away again. Google doesn't show me anything, but maybe you could have something made up?

Alternatively, people do play 'jacked up' with one arm (holding the cue and just not using a bridge (unless you're close to the rail and can use that)). It would take a lot of practice to get good, but you'd be a local hero for beating people that way.

As you've asked in the 'History of Billiards' forum, you could also get an old-fashioned billiards mace (which went out of fashion between 1800 and 1900, but is designed to be used with one arm).

His name is Adam Wilk, you may be able to contact him through his social media links in the YouTube video. He also lost his arm, seems to shoot pretty good with the bridge/gadget he has.
Good luck on your quest Marine, thank you for your service.
