I will be traveling from northern New Jersey to the US Open for the first time so I am a little unsure of the driving directions. Unfortunately, directions from mapquest and google.maps are different.
Mapquest directions eventually take me to route 295 then to route 95 then to route 1 in Delaware, then south into Maryland, back into Virginia and then across the bay via route 13. Google maps directs me to take the long way around using route 95 coming inland, then using route 64 towards the end of the drive.
The mapquest directions supposedly are much quicker time wise than the google maps directions.
Is there any reason why I shouldn't use the mapquest directions, like construction, closed or extremely slow roads, etc?
I know this question might be a pain but the ride will be a long one and I don't want to make a big mistake by taking the wrong route.
Thanks for any help.
Stephen
