Needed, source for liability insurance

I used to play a lot of pool at a fraternal organization that I am a member of. I wound up on the house committee a few years ago and we're currently facing some major problems. Recently a patron left the bar and wound up in an automobile accident in which a person was killed. To make a long story short, our liability insurance has been cancelled. I'm sure this isn't the first time something like this has happened. I recall reading an article in Billiards Digest about insurance costs rising for the billiard industry after a couple incidents in which patrons were killed in pool halls during fights. Anyway, does anyone know of any insurance companys that specialize in handling clients that might be considered high risk? I'm sure the cost would be higher than we've paid in the past but without insurance we may be faced with closing up. Thanks for any input anyone may be able to offer.

Call any of your local insurance agencies (yellow pages) that carry liability insurance. These agencies have lots of insurance companies that they can pick from and can probably get you an insurance company that will write your insurance or at least point you in the right direction if it is too high risk. Lots of company events where liquor is served would probably have a problem if something like that happened - there is a clause in a lot of the insurance polices that don't cover that kind of liability.

IIRC, in NYS, a bar needs to have liability insurance, but it does not cover what was described. There is another insurance policy or rider that is needed (and quite expensive), Dram shop insurance, which will provide coverage. I have a friend that owns a couple of bars locally and he has always had the same concerns, I'm not sure if he ever added the dram shop insurance.
