Hi all, Just received my new bender cue from Roy at IndyQ. I had a great experience working with him! I hit it last night and it hit GREAT!!! I can't believe the difference between this and my schon elite that I also thought hit good. The sharpness of the points and the quality of the workmanship is fantastic. the butt is slightly larger than the schon and I think it feels better.I think I am on the start of a new love affair.

Bender is 19.6 oz.

15 points ebony and maple into a bocote forearm. solid ebony butt with silver railroad track rings at all locations. shafts have ivory ferruls. It currently has a linen wrap, but I am going to change that to leather quick!

Here are some pics of my cues. not the best as I used my camera phone.

if you like some rear hand slide
linen= most slip
Lizard = some slip
leather = no slip, tacky

I have to agree with your assessment of wraps.
I went with a lizard on the same model Bender as is pictured.
Could not wait for the full return through Alaska so I had M. Webb do the wrap. It is awesome and the Bender plays very well.

what color

Hi,

thanks for the responses. What color wrap did you choose. I was thinking of going with the black and white ringtail lizard. or just black. I am still trying to decide.

Thanks,

Vee

I went with a black lizard skin.
As a matter of fact, all of the cues I use for play are now with Black Lizard Skin (Bender, Schick, Black Boar and a J/P Gulyassy).

But I do have some classical cues that have linen wraps and they will stay that way (Scruggs, Showman and Tascarella).

He is very attentive to task at hand.
I will second your recommendation of Mike Webb and he turned my cue around in about 5-7 business days after receipt of the cue.

You can always PM Mike Webb on this forum.
He typically posts and responds in between tasks at his shop.
