New cue report

I received my new cue 2 days ago in perfect condition, first challenge overcome. It's a Lucasi LE-27 with thier new "Radial" shaft design. As you can see from the link it's a very traditional 4 pointer with a nice inlay pattern, and if my info is correct from Proficient it's a real "spliced cue". The workmanship is superb, the points are very nearly perfect razor sharp, the finish is flawless, and the balance is at 19.25" up, just perfect for me since I like a forward weighted cue. I took it out this afternoon for a test drive, and was VERY surprised at the quality of hit this cue has!!!! I can only liken it to the Black Boars I've had in the past. No noises, rattles, buzzes, just a very crisp firm hit with a slight "ping" to it just like all my favorite Customs have had (Boars, Schon, Phillippe, Scruggs ). This is the first " off the rack" I've purchased in about 10 years, so I could'nt be happier. I've payed my dues to alot of the Custom cue makers, and I would never knock any of them. All I can say is it was a very nice surprise. Time to order a spare shaft!......Gerry
