Man! I'm so giddy about this I don't know what to do. I have two...count'em, TWO Coker cues being made for your's trully as we speak! :D I wan't to say I can't wait, but then that'd make it harder to do so. :p

The first cue will be a fancy sneaky pete and it'll have a wrap; 2 shafts; bocote butt and points; Coker's signature rings in the A,B, and E locations; and below the wrap in the butt section, it'll have a maple section to match the maple in the forearm. (like a southwest...). The second cue I'm getting, will be a traditional hoppe style done...finally! :o

It'll have ebony points and butt (hoppe ring will be ivory substitue, but it's the thought that counts. :D); a maple forearm; 2 shafts; red, black, and white vaneers; and Coker's signature rings in the A,B, AND C, locations with red highlights to match the red vaneers on the points.

Man, you all have NO idea how long I've been wanting to get a custom cue made...let alone TWO! Joyness! :D If I remember correctly, they will be done in July and...oh, almost forgot to tell you that both cues will be 19.5 oz in weight and 3 shafts will be 12.75 mm and one will stay at 13mm (for the sneaky pete so I'll have a shaft to break with. I don't know if I'll have the means to put any pics online or not when I get them, but I'll try my best. Thanks for reading too. :)

I know the feeling and how long it takes to get a custom, as well as the torture that ensues. I currently have three cues on order: a Gilbert J/B, a Skip Weston and an Edwin Reyes! I hope you find a way to post pics of your cues when you get them! Congrats on your order.

I too just ordered a custom cue this weekend. I ordered it from Dave Jones. Going to be stunning. Should have it by September and will post some pictures.

You think that kind of wait is torture.
Just wait until you have around half a dozen cues YOU are building, and having to wait and wait and wait on different things LOL.
ROFL, why do i do these things to myself...
Then add on the fact that you are tired of playing with the cue you are playing with.
That my friend... is TORTURE!!!!

I would love to have that problem. I want to get a lathe to start trying my hand at repairs and eventually venture into making cues, but I have to wait until I buy a house! There's no place to put one in my tiny one bedroom apartment. :(

Yes there is.
Throw out the bed.
You really can live without it.
I mean, you may not be able to sleep on a lathe (i don't know for certain, i mean i haven't even tried that yet... i just may...)
But you can't really build cues on a bed either.
So throw the bed out of the window.
Sleep on the floor :p

You too huh?

Nice!!!!!!! Cokers are very good customs from what I have read, but I don't have any personal experience with them.

I just placed an order with Bob Dzuricky of DZ Cues for my very first custom cue. Here are the specs and details of my order. The cue will have a 3/8-10 SS pin, black linen phenolic collar, birdseye or curly maple forearm with 4 ebony points, each having an ivory diamond inlay, 4 veneers - black, green, red & white, white with black spec Irish linen wrap, polished & pressed but uncoated, Bushka style trim rings at B,C,D,& E locations, ebony buttsleeve with 4 ivory diamonds inlays (larger than in the points), ivory colored buttcap (synthetic), total weight to be 19 oz. There will be no shaft included with the order, I am having a 314 customized to match. Total cost will be $675. Time to build will be 14 weeks from receipt of deposit. I am pumped! :D
