So it seems the original rails on my AE Schmidt 9ft'er were made by a company called Fleetwood that is no longer in business. The Fleetwood rail was a thicker rail that had a K66 profile but is commonly mistaken to be K55.
It appears my mechanic made this mistake and replaced my Fleetwood with K55 instead of K66.
My question is this: if they properly installed the K55 and made sure the height was correct, how much of a difference or impact is this going to have on play?
The Fleetwood rails were completely dried out and dead so I have never played on this table with new rubber and not sure how annoyed I should be.
