New Mason Cue-Great Wood Combination

I've always liked the hit of Pau Ferro cues, and Brazilian Rosewood cues, but I've never had the two together until now.

The cue on the bottom is a new MasonH cue that I just got today.
The cue hits even better than expected, and it has a similar hit and overall feel to my Southwest.

Mason was super to work with.
He did a very nice job on the cue, and I think the choice of woods was outstanding.

The cue weighs 19.3, the shafts are just under 13mm, and the pin is 3/8-10 brass.

Congrats on your cue.I like both the cues though:D

Mason is indeed a great guy,

I strongly believe the goodness of person would always reflect in their work.If a person is good his work will always come out good.

Way to go Mason:thumbup:

Nice cue there Ted! How does this hit compare to all your other cues?

With all the right specs, weight, etc. and the great wood combination, everything is right about this cue.
I noticed the hit on the first shot, which is always a good sign.
It definitely compares with the hit of a very good playing Southwest cue I have, and I'm not saying that because he uses the Kersenbrock specs.
The hit just seemed familiar.

I also like the Kamui medium-soft tips he used, and the 3/4" yellow Micarta ferrules.

Thanks for the comments
Enjoy your new Cochran cue.

Very nice thing to say about Mason, and I agree.
In addition to the actual cue building, he seems to be very good at handling all aspects of the business, and he worked very nicely with me.

I think he's going to be busy for quite a while.

The other cue is a Brazilian Ebony Sugartree with a Curly Koa handle.
After I got the Mason cue I realized that I had this similar looking cue, so I put the two together.
The shafts sort of interchange, and it would be interesting to compare the various hits.

Good luck on your Mason cue raffle, I'm sure it's doing quite well.
That would be a good one to win.

Sweeeeeeeet.......

Nice cue Ted. I think in the very near future Mason's cue will be extremely hard to come by. He is a true artist an I love his work.
