New Pool Hall in Des Moines, Iowa

The new pool hall in Des Moines should be open sometime next week as early as Tuesday. It is called Big Dog Billiards and is located at I-235 and Euclid Ave. on the North side of Euclid, first place west of the interstate.

I stopped in last night to check it out and it should be pretty nice, probably the nicest/biggest pool hall in Iowa. I'm not sure exactly how many tables, but I would guess around 40. These include some Diamond bar tables and 9 footers, Brunswick 9 footers, and Valley bar tables, all brand new equipment.

It will also be open to all ages and I am not sure what their hours will be yet.

Hi Mike,

Randy (of DMS Valley league) said it is going to be open 24/7. I'll believe that when I see it. He said that most of the Valleys will be not be coin op, but on time.

It's only one mile south of the crossroads of I-80 and I-35. Stop by, everyone, for a game on your way through the country.
