Hello Players:

I just wanted to let you all know that there's a new pool room in Greenwood, SC. "Racktime Billiard Club" will be opened no later than January 26th.

Check out the website (currently under construction) at http://www.racktime.org. This will be a "player friendly" room with two weekly handicap tournaments, both with added money. One will be played on the big tables and one on the bar tables.

Sincerely,

Greg Mattthews
The Cue Collector.

1. Thanks Grady....I would like to get you up here in a few weeks. I'm still using that Webb cue that I won at your Columbia Tournament. Perhaps you would be interested in organizing a one-pocket tournament here?

2. Stick asked for the Handicap chart....here's a link:

Hello and congrads on your new room. We just heard about it. I own Kings Bay Promotions, Inc and my tournament director in that area will be in touch with you to see if you are interested in becoming a host room for our Amateur 9-Ball Tour. If you have any questions feel free to contact me at kbp_amateur9-ball@gate.net. Have loads of fun with your new venture

Doing a One Pocket tournament sounds like a great idea. Give me a call when I get back from the DCC.

Hey Stick,

Greg is a buddy of mine in Greenwood. You may have seen us together at Murphy's at a couple of tournaments.

He has a really nice room. There are 8 Gold Crowns and 6 bar tables. He bought the Gold Crowns from Paul Motte and got the bar tables from Phil at the Chattanooga Billiard Club downtown location. He is a player himself, and is going to take care of the players. The atmosphere in the place is better than any room I have been to lately.

I will be running his weekly tournaments. We will make them as fair as possible for everyone. I think he's gonna have a big tournament soon, too.

I will keep you posted. If you get a chance, you should get by to see him.

Talk to you soon.

Tournament Announcement

Just wanted to let everyone know that we now have a bar-table cam and a tournament announcement available on the website.

Plus...I've got 3 more cameras coming that have much higher resolution. So the streaming video should only get better!!

I went ahead and registered www.racktimebilliards.com today, so in 24 hours or so, you should be able to use that instead of www.racktime.org.

Thanks,
Greg.

Mike: what you going to rate this old man if I come over on the 31st? do couple guyes that shoot ball under you what there rating? thanks STICK

Hey Stick,

Your guys will probably be ranked a 9 or 10. We are using a ranking system of 3 - 12. Only ladies will be ranked as 3's. There are a few bangers there who will be 4's and 5's. Most players will be ranked as 6,7,or 8. These are mostly APA players who are ranked 5,6, or 7 in the APA. On the other end of the rankings, players with skill levels like Stevie Moore and Scott Rabon, will be ranked as 12, players like Brian White and a little under will be 11, The next level down like the middle of the pack big tournament players at Murphy's will be 10. There are alot of good local players (a little better than regular APA players) who will be 9's or 8's.

Of course you will be a 12. :D

Come on over if you get a chance.

Talk to you soon.
