I like the above method for squares.
Because doweling machines tend to produce more warp in the shaft dowels than turning between centers this method won't work as well for dowels. On dowels I center drill with the butt end only a couple of inches out of the front chuck. And I drill the tip end with about 10 or so inches out the front chuck.
On your website I only see dowels, do you also supply squares? For the little extra labor that is involved squares sounds like the way to go. Your thoughts.
