New Skip Weston

Weeeeeeellllllllllllllllllll...I like "A" the best. But, I am an old fart traditionalist when it comes to cues.

So its 2-0 without me.. 3-0 with me...

I even skewed the poll by putting three of his other look cues vs 1 "traditional" cue.

I gotta admit, I like the traditional cue also...go figure! :D
Darn it all, Joe! Now you got me jonesing for my new Skip even worse than I already was!! Not as fancy as that one, but I think it'll be a looker, too.

Count me in on the traditional side.

I told my friend this cue proves that Skip can handle a 3-4k order, and deliver. Was that his own inlay design in the buttsleeve?

And if you care to indulge...how much is the retail on that cue?

-Roger (drooled all over that puppy)

It was a "tribute" to a Szamboti pattern cue. But what is his are the sharp, and I mean sharp inlays. There is no .015 diameter cutter radii, they are all finished by hand. Also the slotted diamonds have SHARP slots, again not "milled" and left as machined. For those who care about detail like that, they can really appreciate this cue.

Retail $2,800.00...

Personally i like in order, cue#5 first , cue A second , and last but not least cue#6 i think aside from style everyone looks at resale value way to much here.... Okay for people that are in the business of selling i understand but, if you like the way a cue plays and you like the price you are going to pay then buy the frigin cue and dont worry about the time when you are going to sell it....... When i buy a cue i never worry or even think about the selling of it......................... :D

Again, the old fart will chime in and state again that Skip really gives you more bang for the buck than any other cuemaker out there today (IMHO). I just received another Skip about six weeks ago and just love it. Traditional cue obviously, four point, cocobolo into curly maple, four veneers, maple, cocobolo, maple, cocobolo, white faux ivory joint with black collars and maple stitch ring, white faux ivory short butt plate, cocobolo butt sleeve with maple and black stitch ring just above short butt plate. The cue hits like a freight train!

Pics please. It is somewhat similar to my recent order and would love to take a look.

Thanks,

Koop - would like to post pics but do not have a digital camera yet, but if I get hold of one will definitely post some. What did you order?

Okay, I'll tell you what I'll do for you! Send me the cue and I'll take some pictures of it for you. I'll then send them to you!

Would you really Zeeder! You are a Scout! Last time you posted the pics of my other Skip cue I borrowed a camera from someone in my office. Maybe I'll see if I can scrounge one up. Think I have a couple that Skip sent me prior to the cue being finished. Kind of miss your last avatar man!

You are the man Zeeder! Think you should change the avatar to a picture of Mother Theresa. Maybe Joe will pony up that Szamboti tribute Skip!

I hope so! I would love to add that to....er, I mean take pics of that cue! :D :p

The question then becomes, will you send the cues back? HA HA...j/k

Seriously...I would pay to have you photograph my Schick. I really don't have the time and equipment to capture that cues beauty. I rarely pull it out, and would much rather have GOOD pictures than to take it out of the case each time I want to display it.

I was certainly implying in my post that I would keep the cues and send the pictures. However, I would send the cues back as well if someone wanted me to take pictures of them.

I don't know that I take good enough pictures to warrant someone paying me to take pictures of their cues...lol. However, if you're serious about wanting me to help you out with pictures I would be happy to help you out and it would only be the price of round trip shipping.

Seriously, you're a good man Zeeder! I don't care what Jimbo was saying about you!
