One of the more desired lower priced Sneaky Petes is the Lucasi R99 (Rage) SP. Some of the more popular billiard websites have sold out on this item. These SPs play very well and and are very well constructed. I have a new SP Lucasi Rage R99 for sale here that I have upgraded a bit for even better playability. The cue has been weighted out at 18.7 ounces, with a 4.1 ounce shaft for great balance throughout. it is a 58 inch cue. A new Kamui soft/medium tip has been installed at a 72 hardness rating - which I find is ideal on wood to wood joint SPs. The cue joint is 5/16 18 with a brass shaft insert. it is a true SP joint - no joint collars and very tight and almost seamless.
The shaft tip is at 13MM with a taper very similar to that taper used by Andy Gilbert and Mike Capone- a bit more European taper than a pro taper - I have test hit this cue after all the mods were completed and it plays very, very nice. The hit is crisp, not too firm, and the tip is perfect for the shaft and joint set up. The cue weight and balance feel ideal!
The cue is straight throughout. Priced at $109 Shipping included within the CONUS- A truly nice SP at a truly nice price!

It's hard to tell what's going on with the butt cap, can you put a better picture of it? Thanks
 
talking about the thread of the weight if there is one, maybe there isn't. For instance, 3/8 16 is pretty common. Not sure what Lucasi uses.

Also, it's hard to tell in the pics what's going on with the butt cap.

There is nothing “going on” with the butt cap - it is standard. I have no idea what you are questioning??

I had the cue weighted at 18.7 and I would have to look tomorrow when I am back home to check out weight bolt - I really do not want to start disassembling a brand new cue

I did not do the work myself- I had it done professionally and complimentary- hence, the low price on a very nice playing SP. I only try to break even on my cues- just my way of giving back to the community here.
