New Table Cloth: How to get rid of lint

Everyone:

I have been lurking here for a couple of months, and now have something that I need help with.

Last Sept. I bought a new 8' Olhausen table table for my basement. It has "championship" cloth (wish I had Simois), and seems to be loosing lint like crazy.

I brush it daily one way, uptable with a good quality table brush. I have vaccuumed it many times and take good care of it. Is there a "break in" time and will this decrease.

If I clean the tables and balls before a practice session, the balls will have lint all over them in an hour. This is pretty frustrating.

The cloth is navy blue which I like, but this does bother me.

Ideas, recommendations?

Keep playing on the table and the lint storm will let up for ya. But wear that Championship cloth out so you can get some new Simois and by that time you will be in dead stroke.

One thing I have found useful is a roller usually used for getting pet hair off of clothes. You probably know what I am talking about. It works well. By the way it is spelled simonis and you will have a few flavors to choose from (I.E. #760 or #860) Try not to pay more than $300 for the labor and cloth, too many billiard companies try to make mucho mula on the labor. Championship cloth isn't too bad, you should stick it out through the "break in period" to see what you think of it. Unless, you are holding tournaments good enough for practice. Good luck.
