New table tomorrow!!!

If you are mechanically inclined, I don't think it is that difficult. I set up my own table, and it plays tremendous. I had the rails covered ahead of time also.

Like the guy above said..........why pay over 4,000 for a nice table.....then try and save 300! Yeah you might get it right, and ya might not get it right, and ya never know it is wrong. We did a table one time.....and as thew always say...." Oh I got it level myself, with this here 6 foot wood level! IT IS LEVEL!" Then ya set the Starret on there and it bounces off the scale everywhere! There has to be somebody close other than the guys ya mentioned, Anniston ain't that far from here. Just check around alittle more. Because if ya call someone later, it is gonna cost ya more because they will have to start over!

Call Perfect Pockets and talk to Mark. 352-208-3043
He will probably give you a reasonable price even though he is
out of Atlanta. IF I were you I would throw in a lesson from him while he is there in playing as well. Very good player and the best pool table mechanic
I have ever seen. He does double and triple shimmed pockets very well.
Just tell him exactly what he will need to do and see what he says.
He has worked on Diamond tables quite a bit doing complete rooms and
new installs.
By the way- Are they still playing in Peidmont and out at that bar in Heflin?
I won alot of money in that bar. Rougher type place but lots of gambling.
The name escapes me now Was it The Red something????

Well got the table installed still have a little leveling work to do as my floor in the old garage was terrible unlevel one leg is screwwed all the way up and the others are not ha ha must have sat it right on a hump. That one corner is still a little high so I will have to level it out with the other three. What fun! It was a learning experiece to say the least but throughly enjoyable.

HA HA knew someone was going to ask that. Actually used a good torpedo level that I use to level bow sights with and if you know anything about archery you know the sight has to be level. I also have a 24 inch level that I used. I am borrowing a Machinist level today or tomorrow to check things but I know the one corner is high even on my levels it shows high. Not much but just a little the trouble is the adjustment screw in the leg on that one is all the way in so now I will have to raise the other three. Oh well a ball rolls very well on it except to that one corner. Rolls off about 1/2" down the length of the table.

Man it sure is easy to level a table with the right kind of level. HA HA Pooltablemechanic is right the only way to go is with a machinist level. I was close with my inferior levels but that machinist level was amazing had it level and rolling perfect in about 30 minutes. I may not have the cloth stretched as tight as it should be I guess time will tell but I learned a hell of a lot and had the satisfaction of doing it myself. Thanks to everyone here for all the advice and info on how to go about doing this. Rack em!
