new tournament formats?

I just posted this in another thread, but thought I would throw it open to everyone. with the ongoing discussions and differing opinions between issues like seeding, and cash game/tournament play, I was wondering if it is possible to combine the 2 (in a way that would allow seeding as well as a fairer share of the money spread)

to give a random example;

64 person tournament with 8 'pros' at $200 buy in

2 games before getting to last 16 where a seed would be waiting, if you take 50% entry toward the prize pool and 50% as bounties, every player would be 'worth' $100 and you would have a prize pool of $6,400.

double elimination you win 50% of the losing players bounty (where they would go to one loss side with their remaining $50), of which you keep half..

so in essence you win 2 games you get your money back... there is still a relatively decent prize pool left for the pros (and the 8 best others) to fight for, yes it is less guaranteed money, but you also even up the odds for the people who pay to take a shot at then best.... and then in addition to any bounties won something along the lines of;

1st $3400
2nd $2000
3rd/4th $1000
(plus bounties)

this means you would be playing in both a tournament and consecutive 'small stake' money matches... giving you experience of both formats without putting it all on the line for one or the other.

might be something that has been done already and I am new here, so don't know what people think, but just for smething a little different, the format can obviously be modified, and i only used those numbers as a random example, but easily replicateable in a 'tour' type format... perhaps.

anyways enough of my ramblings, im sure there is a more interesting thread somewhere
