Mike Shamos, who knows more about the history of pool than just about anyone, has a nice article in the current (July) issue of Billiards Digest. He details several sources of information and photos related to pool's history. As I looked through the article, I noticed an image that looked familiar. Upon closer scrutiny, I realized it was familiar because I had taken the photo back in 1986. I was honored to have one of my old pool pics used in the Shamos article and have included the image below. It was taken at the 1986 Clyde Childress Memorial Tournament in Lexington, KY and shows Danny Diliberto shooting while Efren Reyes watches.
