Nice Schon R5 on eBay + stange seller option

Dear AZ`lers,
there`s a nice Schon R5 on eBay:

Most of these have dark stained BEM in the foream. This one not. A pretty nice and rare cue i think.
I`m currently searching for a R2, R4 or R5 cue or a simple 4 point no veneers Ebony into BEM cue.
So i was willing to pay quite a lot of money for this cue BUT:

I tried to contact the seller to ask him how mutch he`ll charge for shipment to germany. Strangely the "ask seller a question" option in the auction seemed not to work properly as i could not send him a message. So i researched this matter and found out that the seller must have picked the additional option which disables all possibilities to send the seller messeges from countries he doesn`t ship his items to.

I`m pretty sad about that because this is a beautiful cue i`m missing out on :(! But it`s also too bad for him, as he is missing out on my money :grin-square:!

So what do you think about that cue and the seller option?

It is a nice cue and I understand the option of not shipping overseas. Most people simply do not know how to calculate shipping or how to track it to ensure it reaches its intended destination. For this reason you may want to contact some of AZ's reputable dealers that do know how to ship overseas and put a feeler that you want one and are willing to pay for it. You may even ask someone in the states to purchase it and ship it to you for a fee.

I do not think it is that rare, almost all the ones i have seen are lighter in color.

that was the first model of " nice cue" I ever bought, switched to McDs a year later but i still like the R5, paid way less than 400 back then

why don't you have someone bid on it for you, or ask around here to see if anyone has one, I know they are out there

The auction is already at 400$ with two days left. If it goes way up the 500$ it`ll be unattractive anyway...
