Need your knowledge and your opinions please.

15 years ago a bought an unused Scruggs Cue from a respected member here in the Forum.
Had this Scruggs in my Pool Case since then. Never played with it in all those 15 years except for a few Test Racks when i received it.

Cue from about year 2008.
4 Pointer with 4 Veneers and Ivory Inlays.
Veneers in black, red, blue, nature.
Stitched Rings on all Positions.
5/16 14 Steel Jointed, 2 unplayed Shafts (13mm) with Ivory Ferrels.
Linen wrap.
The Butt Sleeve is in complete Cocobolo.
Inlays in the Butt like in this other Scuggs Picture but with additional 2 small Diamonds in the middle.
I call this the American Cue because with the Red and Blue Veneers it looks a bit like the colors of the Flag.

Cue is in unplayed Condition. Test Hit only on a few Racks with one Shaft. Other Shaft never been played.

Please respect my wish that i don´t want to post pics unless it it really necessary and/or demanded.

How much would that be worth in todays market?
Were there any significant changes in the past 15 years?
Is there a high demand on the Market for Scruggs Cues. I´m thinking to maybe sell the Cue.

Thanks Guys

The Tulip wood is nice.

Under $3k for a Tim Scruggs cue that could be a Level 3 pool cue design (2-6 points & 0-8 inlays) seems
average. I think it’s a bit higher, more like $2800-3200. The next Level (4) cue has 4-10 points & 9-25 inlays.

The more intricate the design, the more the cue will cost; that’s a steadfast golden rule still applicable today.
4 of my cues are Level 8 designs (0-12 points &126+ inlays) & two became tedious cue builds for Bob Owen.

Oops…….you asked if there’s been any significant changes in the market in the last 15 years and whether
Tim’s cues are still in demand? The most significant development affecting the intrinsic value of your Tim
Scruggs cue is Tim is no longer with us. He passed June 18, 2015 and there is a finite number of his pool
cues made and the number that occasionally come up for sale is a relatively scant number. So indeed, yes,
Scruggs cues are always in demand unless absurdly priced that any seller might do but that’s becoming rarer.
